Found My Book!!

Hubby went back to the restaurant this morning. He found the waitress from last night and she had put my book aside. The others didn't know that.

Sooooo.....I have my book and can continue on my journey, from the book, that is. Yay!!

TA Has The Best Showers But A Waitress Who Needs Another Job

I just lurve those big ol' shower head that put out lots of water. No wimpy little stream like Flying J's...but nice volumn of water and plenty of force behind it.

Just pure heaven when you're hot and tired and want to get clean.

The only downside was the waitress in their restaurant wasn't too good and was more interested in talking to friends than policing her tables. I didn't want to leave a tip but hubby prevailed and left a dollar or two. Gah!!

The Strangest Waitress At Denny's

We stopped in at a Flying J, grabbed a shower and since it's Sunday, thought we'd have a nice dinner.

Well, the food was good, I loff Denny's, the waitress obviously needed to go home and rest or something.

Both of our orders were wrong and when we pointed it out, she appologized and said she was tired. Hubby said he wondered why he got hash browns with a dinner order! Our salads were correct but I had to ask for a straw with my tea.

Bless her heart, she was so spacey!! Well, we got fed and the food was good, even if it wasn't 'quite' what we ordered!

Flying J Kind Of Fell Down On The Job, Remember The Delish Dish??

We stopped at another Flying J, actually, not too far from the other I wrote about, and hubby just had to eat in the restaurant.  In we goes...

I ordered the Steak Tampico, Tampeanwheeiotie, Tampax, whatev and was expecting the same thing. 

Nope, not this time. 

This time, the whole dish was just plopped on the plate and then slapped down in front of me.  I had ordered my usual side salad and the waitress 'forgot' to bring it till right before she showed up with the hot dish.  This is not good.  I don't want my hot dish to wait while I'm eating salad!

Then there is the matter of who the dish looked on the plate.  The first place made it really nice and appealing.  This place, not so much!  Just a steak here, some rice pilaf there, a couple of tortillas, guacamoles, salsa and sour cream slapped together.  I don't know, I'm not a food critic (well, yes, I am but not in a formal way) but it just didn't look as well.  I was disappointed but at least, it tasted pretty good.  The first one tasted really yummy, this one, just not as well.  I'm sure it was a visual thing as well as taste buds. 

Next time, I'll take the time to look it over better.  Maybe I'll give it one more shot.  If not, I'll try to replicate it at home and call it a day! 

Seriously Annoyed At TA

We went into the restaurant tonite to eat.  I didn't want to spend much money.  I'm a cheapskate and chinch to rival the best of them.

Anywho, the waitress said they don't have a plain dinner salad.  We'd have to order the soup and salad bar for $6.99.  I didn't want the whole thing but hubby insisted.  All the waitress did was to bring our drinks.

So, I'm ticked off I 'have' to buy something I don't want (the soup) for more money than I want to spend, then...get this...hubby leaves her a tip!  All she did was bring us our drinks.  That was it.  No refill or anything.  He. Leaves. Her. A. Tip.  A tip for doing nothing??  Oh, hell, no.

Hubby did hear about it ALL the way to the truck, believe you me!!  I don't think he'll do THAT again!!
